How Clearing works

If you want to secure a university place for this September, Clearing is the last stage in the admissions process. But don’t worry, we can make it as easy as possible for you. Clearing shouldn’t be stressful or confusing.

Whether you’ve only just decided to go to university, have changed your mind about what or where you want to study, or are looking to upskill, we can walk you through the application process.

There’s a degree course waiting for you that will fire up your passion and enthusiasm. And with the right guidance, the decision you make will lead to a whole new future for you.

  1. Collect your results

    Once you've collected your results, visit our Clearing site to check out our courses and find out everything you need to know about the clearing process.

  2. Enter your qualifications

    Enter your qualifications and chosen course into our Offer Generator.

  3. Submit your details

    We'll need some key information from you so we can give an instant decision on whether you’re eligible for a place, this makes the application process much quicker!

  4. Start your application

    If we can offer you a place, you can start your application online or request a call back from one of our Clearing advisors or academics for more information. Don’t worry if we’re not able to offer you a place straight away – call us on 0800 590 830 to see how our Clearing team can help.

  5. Accept your offer

    Once your application is complete, it's time to officially accept your offer and look forward to starting your future with us here at University of Staffordshire this September.
