There are five Students' Union network groups:
- Disabled Students
- LGBT+
- Multicultural
- Mature, Parents and Carers
- Women's
These networks have representation at national level too. There are also many other societies to join such as the Mental Health and Wellbeing Society, Chinese, and the Afro Caribbean Society.
Learning about diversity is good for team work and employability. Many courses now cover equality and diversity, and consider issues around discrimination as they arise with the curriculum. Make suggestions about course content via your Academic Rep. or through the SU Officer Team.
Learn to recognise discriminatory and bullying behaviour, find help with dealing with it and prevent it happening again. Information on reporting and preventing bullying and harassment can be found on our page on Bullying and Harassment.
