Digital Design Computer Workshops

Our Apple Mac computer suites are a shared resource equipped with specialist software and hardware that enable the production and refinement of a wide variety of digital assets.

A range of equipment and software is available across our three digital design computer workshops to support the University’s diverse, creative students. Comprehensive graphical editing can be performed in the Adobe Creative Cloud suite using colour-accurate, self-calibrating Eizo monitors and Wacom Cintiq interactive pen displays.

Output to physical prints is available through Epson inkjet printers (Gloss and matt up to A3) and, for larger or more unusual formats, our dedicated Print Bureau.

Photography and experimental artistry can also take advantage of photo negative scanning with flatbed (up to 10” x 8”) and virtual drum (up to medium format film). Illustrative and pattern-based artists can digitise work via high-resolution flatbed scanning (up to A3) and develop these projects in a variety of specialist software packages.

The workshops are supported by a team of Technical Specialists who have professional proficiencies across the software and equipment and are always happy to assist you.
