Members of the Staffordshire University community visited Srebrenica with a delegation from YMCA North Staffordshire in 2019. In this commemorative event our on-campus police officer, Simon Stone, will talk about their experience of visiting the site where the genocide occurred during the Bosnian War in 1995.

27 January marks the anniversary of the liberation of Auschwitz-Birkenau, the largest Nazi death camp. Holocaust Memorial Day is for everyone. Each year across the UK, thousands of people come together to learn more about the past and take action to create a safer future.

Together we bear witness for those who endured genocide, and honour the survivors and all those whose lives were changed beyond recognition.
