Established in 1955, the band have taken part in a number of European tours, appeared in two professional productions of the musical Brassed Off, and have competed in the prestigious brass band championships for the Northwest of England. In 2019, the band were invited by academics from the Music and Sound department at Staffordshire University to take part in an Arts Council funded audiovisual performance celebrating the potteries industries. This promises to be an evening of high-quality music making to welcome in the Christmas spirit.
