This annual conference is a must-attend event for any student interested in the gaming industry.

Join us at SUL for a weeklong, in-person live event at the Staffordshire London campus. This week will include:

  • live Q+A’s, a range of talks
  • Sprints Relevant Talk - Art with Anna Hollinrake
  • Interactive activities
  • Q&A Panel 
  • Sharkmob (Producer to talk about project management and pitching ideas
  • PlayStation London (tbc)
  • Ustwo (tbc)
  • 3x Meetings led by Ubisoft recruiters.
  • 1x L5 Sandwich Year Roles Prep
  • 1x CV Workshop
  • A live GameJam to take part in during the week. This jam will be driven by a brief received form a regional studio.
  • Sessions to help freelancers and for those students who will be starting sandwich placements in the new year.

Games in the City GameJam

Oliver Rippon / Producer (Sharkmob)

11- 15 Decemeber 

A live gamejam to take part in during the week. This jam will be a brief given by a regional studio. All students will receive INTO GAMES production training access (Free online), a brief presentation and pitching session with local studio Sharkmob, and hear a Sharkmob producer to deliver a short talk on project management and introduce the brief.

Games in the City Festival - in-person day (Focus)

12 December

A one-day in-person event on the Staffordshire London campus. This day should include some live Q+A’s, a range of talks and some interactive elements, developed in conjunction with the games team.

Getting Ready for Work - Online Session

13 to 15 December – 10:00am to 17:00pm for sessions

Sessions to help freelancers and those who will be starting sandwich placements in the new year to secure possible internship possibilities.
