Inaugural Professorial Lecture by Paul Bowie, Professor of Human Factors for Health and Social Care
From the introduction of Medical Audit in the UK in the late 1980s to the current global focus on improving Patient Safety, Paul retraces his overlapping NHS and academic careers during this period and reflects on the changes, challenges and milestones throughout this 25 year journey.
