RTS Careers Fair
Final-year Film Production students travelled to nearby Birmingham for the Midlands Royal Television Society Careers Fair. Students attended workshops and masterclasses to help them refine their CV and careers plans, as well as meeting employers such as the BBC and ITV to discuss entry level positions. A really valuable opportunity for our 3rd years as they look to transition from University into industry.
Inspired Film and Video Production Bursary
Our final-year filmmakers have had the opportunity to pitch for funding to support their final-year film productions. Local film production company Inspired Film and Video has made a funding pot of £750 available for students to apply for bursaries to support their productions. The short-listed films were selected, and 12 students pitched for the bursaries. 3 projects were awarded funding to support the production and distribution of the films. Read more about the winning pitches here.
This is another example of our students networking and impressing local businesses.
You can read about additional pitches from our final-year filmmakers and bursaries awarded by local media production company Popcorn Learning Media here.
