How do I book my tickets?

If you are eligible to attend the graduation ceremonies in July, you should receive an email to your student email account advising you to log on to your e:Vision portal to confirm your own attendance and purchase guest tickets.

If you are expecting to have your award conferred by the end of October you will be expected to attend our Autumn Graduation.

All students expecting to have their award conferred by the end of June  will attend the Summer Graduation

If you do not receive an email, please get in touch with the ticketing team at graduation@staffs.ac.uk

If the university has offered you a deferral from a previous ceremony and you have not received an invite please contact our graduation ticketing team at graduation@staffs.ac.uk

How much are the tickets?

Awards ceremonies are a landmark occasion for every one of our graduating students.  As a graduate, your ticket to attend the graduation ceremony is free.

We are pleased to confirm that, despite cost increases,  A guest ticket price of £20 each for this year.  The offer includes refreshments on arrival, the Kings Hall, complimentary transport to and from the venues, glass of Prosecco and chocolates.

All guest tickets are non-refundable.  The exception to this is where a student becomes ineligible to attend as they have not received an award.

How many guest tickets can I purchase?

During the initial booking stage for our ceremonies, you will be able to confirm your own attendance and purchase up to three guest tickets. You will be able to make us aware of any additional requirements you or your guests may require at the point of booking.

Can I purchase extra tickets?

We will review all ceremonies when the bookings close and if there is availability will reopen so that additional tickets can be bought on a first come first serve basis.

Please be aware that this will be on a ceremony by ceremony basis and may close before any deadline dependent on remaining availability.

As we can’t guarantee that additional tickets will be available, you should confirm your own attendance and up to three guest tickets as soon as possible.

If either you or one of your guests requires the support of a professional carer or support worker in order to attend the ceremony, please advise us of this when you book your tickets. We will be able to provide one additional ticket per student or guest requiring this support and this will be free of charge. Please note that we will ask for evidence of professional carer/support worker status, before issuing any additional carer/support worker tickets.

Do children need their own guest tickets?

We welcome children to our graduation ceremonies, and they will need their own guest ticket.  Children will require their own ticket even if they are small enough not to require their own seat. This is to ensure we do not exceed the maximum fire safety capacities of our venues, which are based on the number of people who will be in the spaces, rather than the number of seats used.

Do I still need to book if I am attending on my own with no guests?

Yes. All students must confirm their attendance via the online booking system, even if they are not requesting any guest tickets.

When will I receive my tickets?

Student and guest tickets will be given out at registration when you arrive on the day of your ceremony.

What happens if I cannot attend on the date of my ceremony, can I defer my graduation?

If you can no longer attend your graduation, you must notify the Graduation ticketing team at graduation@staffs.ac.uk . We can only defer your graduation in exceptional circumstances, and you will be expected to attend the next available graduation ceremony.

If you wish to request to defer your graduation, please contact the team at graduation@staffs.ac.uk.

Non-attendance

If you do not wish to attend graduation there is an option on the MyPortal booking system to notify us of this.

Dress code for guests

Although there is no prescribed dress code for our ceremonies, as it is a formal occasion, we tend to find guests dress smartly and appropriately.  We also encourage attendees to be prepared by checking the weather forecast.

Please note:  There is walking involved to locations on campus.
