With a week to go until A level results day, our University is playing an active role in reassuring potential students about their futures.
“We know that the pandemic is likely to result in higher levels of unemployment and it could take some years to recover. It’s not too late to apply for our courses and we believe this a good time for people of all ages and from diverse backgrounds to be starting university and working towards a future career.”
The University’s clearing campaign is already up and running for students with general enquiries about securing a University place for September.
Staffordshire University’s dedicated website includes an offer generator which allows prospective students to choose their course and enter their grades to receive an instant decision on whether they can get a place through clearing. They can then start their application online for their chosen course, making the application process even quicker and easier.
The University is also offering a ‘live chat’ facility and a specialist hotline number [0800 590 830] where enquirers can speak to clearing experts about their options.
Dr Alyssa Phillips, Director of Student Recruitment and Admissions, said: “Summer is an anxious time for students waiting on their results and these are exceptional circumstances, when prospective students may be unsure of their next move.”

The University is encouraging prospective students to find out more by booking on to its next virtual open day which takes place on Saturday 15 August from 9.30am – 1pm.
Alyssa added: “Since lockdown in March, we have held all our Open Days online and these have been really well received as they enable prospective students to learn more about our courses and facilities from lecturers and students, take a virtual tour of our campus and accommodation and find out what support we have in place for them.
“Our campuses will reopen in September and we are confident that our blended approach to teaching and learning will enable us to deliver a first-class student experience in a COVID-secure environment.”
