The University will retain naming rights on the Boothen End Stand at the bet365 Stadium and it's branding will also feature on other Club inventory.

As part of the partnership, the Club delivers a series of practiced-based masterclasses and workshops for students in areas such as football coaching and business practice.

Students also receive internship opportunities and live briefs, which create openings for them to work on specific projects with the aim of benefitting the Club’s Community Trust.

Professor Ieuan Ellis, Pro Vice-Chancellor at the University, said: “This has been a long-standing partnership between two organisations that are really important to our city.

“Even if you are not from Stoke, you rapidly understand those things that are iconic - and the Boothen End Stand is one of those.

“I’ve had the good fortune, through the partnership, of attending a number of games over the last few years and when I’m sitting in the stand, looking up and seeing Staffordshire University there and hearing the roar of the crowd, it really is very powerful.”

Paul Lakin, Stoke City’s Chief Commercial Officer, added: “Both ourselves and Staffordshire University recognise the importance of major local organisations working in tandem and we are delighted they have chosen to extend their partnership with us.”
