Part-time

We don’t want any limits to learning. That’s why we like to be flexible, to fit in with the busiest of lifestyles. Many courses can be studied part-time. This may work for you if you are fitting a course or professional qualification around a career, family or other commitments.

Benefits of part-time study

  • Part-time studying can accommodate busier lifestyles allowing you to gain a qualification while balancing your degree with personal or work life.
  • Enhance your career prospects with a part-time degree. You may be looking to develop new skills, broaden your knowledge or you're working towards a career change or promotion.
  • Follow a passion or interest in more depth in our supportive and engaging environment without committing to a full-time schedule.

Part-time courses

We offer a full range of professional and vocational part-time courses from arts to business, and computing to health.

What is the time commitment?

The duration of the course depends on the speed at which you wish to progress through it - the course intensity. The usual study pattern is to complete modules totalling 60 credits in your first year of study. This would be equivalent to studying at 50 per cent course intensity. At this intensity, a part time honours degree would usually take six years. You’ll pay the pro rata (equivalent) fee for the course each year.
