Davin Ward

Interim Course Director

Digital, Tech, Innovation & Business

I am the Course Director for Games Technologies and have a background in games development via my experience operating my own indie games company. Within the wide umbrella of games development, designing and programming game mechanics, developing intelligent AI systems and programming Multiplayer Games.

In the past I have showcased games around the UK at national events such as Insomnia, EGX, RTX, etc.

In addition to programming games, I also love to play them and have done since a young age. I play games across all genres whether that is to experience the deep and emotional narrative of games like The Last of Us and Final Fantasy, the over-the-top action of Kingdom Hearts and Devil May Cry, or the high score chasing of Tony Hawk and Resogun.

One of my core initiatives within the games deaprtment is organising industry and employability events such as our Mock Interviews and I am the Chair of our Industry Advisory Panel.
