I am a lecturer at the University of Staffordshire, where I completed my PhD. My research interests include Public International Law, International Criminal Law, International Human Rights Law, International Relations, and Statehood. In recent years I have worked with the United Nations in doing preliminary research to assess the access to human rights for persons with Albinism in the UK.

I have supervised undergraduate dissertations, taught at all levels of the LLB, and some of the International Relations modules. I am an Associate Fellows of the Higher Education Academy and member the British Institute of International and Comparative Law, the Socio-legal Studies Association, and the Society of Legal Scholars.

Prior to my PhD, I completed a Bachelors degree in Political Science and Law and an LLB. I have two year's practical experience as a solicitor in South Africa, mainly in commercial litigation and family law.
