Khaoula Omhand

Lecturer

Digital, Tech, Innovation & Business

I am currently a Lecturer in Business Management and Leadership at the Institute of Business and Innovation, School of Digital, Technology, Innovation, and Business at the University of Staffordshire, a position I have held since 2022.

Prior to joining academia, I gained valuable experience leading environmental consultancy projects. I completed my PhD in Business and Management at the University of Wolverhampton, focusing on the use of critical diversity management studies to understand inequalities in leadership positions.

I also hold an MBA with distinction, a Postgraduate Certificate in Academic Practice (PGCAP) from the University of Wolverhampton, and an MSc in Environmental Engineering from the National School of Applied Science.

Additionally, I have earned the status of Fellow of the Higher Education Academy (FHEA) in 2020. As a self-motivated individual, I possess strong organisational and research skills. My research focuses on the intersection of sustainability, workplace diversity, equality, and leadership, specifically examining the structural and cognitive processes that contribute to inequality in organisational settings. Furthermore, I am actively involved in projects related to diversity, equality, inclusion, and sustainable transition.
