Kim Newell Chebator is a life-long learner with authenticity, integrity, collaboration, and knack for creative problem solving at the foundation of her executive experience in global financial services.

Kim is a a dual UK/US national with an undergraduate degree in psychology from Tulane University in Louisiana USA and spent one year at Oxford University. She has been privileged to be surrounded by educators; teachers, professors, administrators and coaches her whole life so understands the importance of quality education available to all.

Across a wide range of roles in multiple business units, and various risk, control, and corporate functions, Kim worked her way up from an associate to an Executive Vice President at State Street Bank and Trust, one of the world’s largest financial institutions. As an EVP, she held the roles of Head of Global Markets, Chief Administrative Officer, Client Executive, and Head of Global Client Divisions in Asia Pacific and EMEA.

Kim led the mentoring programme for top female talent as part of State Street’s Leading Women initiative and acted as executive sponsor for the LGBTQ+ and the Race and Ethnicity employee networks. She was named to LGBTQ Great Top 100 Executive Allies 2021. She will begin a new position as Global Head of Account Management, Securities Services at HSBC in January 2023.

Kim moved from the US (Boston) with her two sons and husband to the UK in 2012. She enjoys traveling, live music and spending time laughing with friends and family.
