I completed my undergraduate study in Sport, Physical Education and Community Studies at the University of Birmingham in 2005. After obtaining Qualified Teacher Status in 2007, I have gone on to teach in secondary, further education, and higher education. It was teaching the sports psychology aspect of the A-Level course that inspired me to complete my postgraduate studies in this area, and I completed my MSc in Applied Sports and Exercise Psychology in 2018 at the University of Staffordshire. In 2023, I completed my doctoral study in stress in sport at the University of Birmingham.
I have taught undergraduate students at the University of Birmingham from 2019-2020, delivering various sport and health-based modules as Module Leader. Following this, I have also taught on various sports psychology modules at Loughborough University for one year before making the move to the University of Staffordshire in September 2022.
