Make the most of your day

When you book your open day you’ll receive an itinerary so you can plan your day. We've provided a taster of what your open day might look like.

  2. Get to know your subject

Come along to our course talks to unravel what you'll be learning, hear about work placement opportunities, and see the cutting-edge facilities you'll have access to.

  3. Ask questions and get an insight into student life

The perfect opportunity to ask tutors anything about your course, get advice from our friendly student support teams, meet our student ambassadors about what student life is really like, chat to the Students Union and see what clubs and societies are on offer.

  4. Go on campus and accommodation tours

Explore our campus up close and see where you'll be studying, socialising, and relaxing. Discover our facilities from the sports centre to digitally-enabled learning spaces. Find your home away from home on our accommodation tours.

  5. Browse facilities and get involved in activities

We plan various hands-on activities to inspire you to try something new and give you a taste of what it's like to study with us in our supportive learning environments. Drop-in to see our facilities, specialist labs, arenas, studios, and immersive suites.

Quiet programme

Open days can be busy and overwhelming for some of our visitors, that's why we have a quiet programme. This programme is designed for students who are impacted by sensory overload, have autism spectrum condition, hearing or visual impairments, and applicants who may struggle with communication or have anxiety.

We have a quiet ‘Why University of Staffordshire’ session available in the morning, alongside quieter campus tours and a finance talk, and open day sessions are typically quieter in the afternoon. Quiet programmes are only available at our Stoke-on-Trent campus due to the size of the event and campus.

Inclusive and supportive

Feel comfortable and get all the help you need from our friendly support team

Learn and explore with smaller groups

Avoid large audiences by attending smaller group sessions and quieter campus tours

I'm grateful that Staffordshire has given me all of these opportunities, helping me on my path towards my career.
